Swiss Life customers in Singapore will now receive international health benefits from Aetna. These expat health care plans will replace Swiss Life Singapore’s in-house expat health insurance.
This partnership builds on the announcement in June that named Aetna as the US partner for the Swiss Life Network, a global association of 60 insurance companies and business partners operating in 70 countries. Swiss Life offers comprehensive international and local employee benefit packages to multinational companies through the Swiss Life Network.
Derek Goldberg, Aetna International’s general manager in Southeast Asia, said, “With our on-the-ground presence in Singapore and our strong global reach, we can provide the personalised, comprehensive service that multinational companies require to ensure their mobile employees have access to quality medical treatment so they can maintain good health.”
Aetna has been licenced to sell insurance products in Singapore since June 2012. They offer a variety of individual and group plans in the Singapore market, including the flagship International Health Care Plan for customers who need coverage across the globe and Aetna Healthy Aessentials for customers who need coverage across the Southeast Asia region.
CEO of Swiss Life Network, Margrit Schmidt welcomed the deal with Aetna in Singapore, in addition to the US partnership.
“Our expanded relationship will allow us to enhance our ability to provide multinational companies with the very best in employee benefit packages.”
