Allianz Worldwide Care has launched a mobile app which allows members to submit claims faster and easier than ever before. The new MyHealth app allows users to make a claim simply by entering the details with a photo of the medical bills, and pressing “submit”.
If users need to stop half-way through the submission process, the app stores the information already entered for later use. In addition to submitting new claims, users can also track the progress of claims already made, and review the details of previously paid claims.
The MyHealth app has a number of features designed specifically for expats living abroad. There are a number of assistance tools included in the app. For example, expats can locate nearby hospitals wherever they are in the world, and in-built GPS technology provides directions to the selected hospital.
Likewise, there is fast access to local emergency services’ numbers on a country-by-country basis, while the medical translator is very useful for expats – showing key health terms in 17 languages.
Insurance policy documents are stored on the app, and can be accessed without an internet connection so users can check their coverage at any time. All personal data entered into the app is secured by encryption.
The app can be used to call medical professionals and receive advice on a range of health issues such as blood pressure, vaccinations, and infectious diseases. The “pharmacy aid” tool provides the internationally recognised names of wide-range of branded drugs, so a pharmacist can source a local equivalent.
Susan Landers, head of marketing and client management at Allianz Worldwide Care said, “This app gives members the ability to submit claims and access policy details wherever they are, and whenever it’s convenient for them.
“The most commonly used services are all available in one simple application. However it’s the speed and convenience of the claims submission functionality that really sets our app apart from anything else available in the international health insurance market today”.
The MyHealth app can be downloaded for free from iTunes and Android app stores in English, Spanish, German, French, and Portuguese.
