A new series of international travel insurance products includes benefits for international business people.
International Medical Group, a distributor of global health products, has announced a new addition to its travel insurance family. The Patriot T.R.I.P (Travel Itinerary Protection) series of products protects travellers across a variety of markets.
According to Jeff Nasser, senior vice president of international marketing at IMG, travelers should prepare for the unexpected. “Anything can happen when you travel. Unfortunately, unforeseen events can quickly ruin your travel plans, and that time and money you spent may be lost. These benefits and services are designed to make your trip as stress-free as possible.”
There are four programmes within the Patriot T.R.I.P series, some of the benefits include:
- Coverage for trips up to 31 days and additional coverage for longer stays
- Trip cancellation protection in the event of a stolen passport or visa
- Trip cancellation protection for work reasons
- Missed connection coverage
- Coverage for theft of mobile business equipment
For expatriate workers on the move several of these benefits are particularly pertinent.
Separate from these benefits, the programs provide non-insurance emergency travel assistance, such as helping policyholders replace lost travel documents or lost prescriptions, embassy or consulate referral, emergency cash transfers, and legal and medical referrals when necessary.
