Allianz extends reach in Africa via new partnership

Allianz partnership Africa

Allianz Africa is working with Metropolitan International to extend its range to over 24 African countries.

Allianz SE has announced it will be extending its range outside of South Africa to more than 24 African countries and territories. In cooperation with Metropolitan International, Allianz will be able to offer multinational corporate clients employee benefit insurance and reinsurance.

Allianz Africa currently offers employee benefit insurance in 11 African countries. With the new partnership Allianz can extend their range of employee benefit solutions across 24 countries for pan-African and multinational companies.

The regions covered by Metropolitan International are complementary to those covered by Allianz Africa. While Allianz Africa has a footprint mainly across West and Central Africa, Metropolitan International provides services in core markets across sub-Saharan and East Africa.

Metropolitan International, along with its parent company, offers health and life insurance and employee benefit schemes. Metropolitan International, the insurance arm of South Africa’s financial services group, MMI Holdings Ltd. will join Allianz’s All Net worldwide employee benefits network.

All Net, the Allianz International Employee Benefits Network, is a cooperation of Allianz insurance companies and selected external insurance partners to provide global employee benefit insurance and reinsurance solutions for multinational corporate clients. Currently more than 100 insurers in more than 80 countries are part of the network.
